Through our foster to adopt program, get to know your feathered friend before finalizing the adoption to help ensure a perfect fit.
Available for intakes if you need to surrender a bird, we’re all about giving every parrot a safe space!
Foster to Adopt Program
It is sort of like a try before you buy! We will match you with a parrot based on your application and phone interview. You will meet a bird(s) and see how the bird connects with you. If it seems to be a match, then you get to the next step. That is our foster to adopt part where you live with parrot before making it a permanent part of your family. We allow up to 30 days to finalize your adoption to ensure a great match.
Education on Parrot Care
Knowledge is power! We educate everyone about the unique needs of parrots for a happier, healthier life. Proper diet, cage husbandry, and household safety checks are all highly important. We feed organic chop and a wide variety of pellets, seed, dried fruits and tree nuts. To learn more about fresh foods that are parrot safe, click the buttons below.
Surrender Support
Need to surrender a bird(s)? We provide a safe and loving environment for your feathered friend. We are not here to judge, only to help. We do ask questions regarding the bird so we can provide what is best for it based off of what it has been accustomed to. We want transitions to be easy for the bird and the surrendering family.
Community Impact
We’re making the Eastern Panhandle of WV a better place for our feathered friends through rescue and education. We have even helped families from Delaware to North Carolina and Kentucky. Our Facebook pages can even educate people worldwide.
